This program will provide information to prepare business owners to survive a personal crisis, which can occur at any time! Topics include: personal and business insurance; organizing the office; identifying procedures and personnel for a temporary replacement. This information will prepare business owners to make decisions in advance of a crisis in order to increase the success of their business after a crisis.

Objectives: At the conclusion of this program, the audience members will be able to . . .

  1. Recognize that personal crisis can come at any time, and can impact financial stability and the survival of a business.
  2. Cite statistics related to the likelihood of being disabled.
  3. Identify the costs associated with being disabled.
  4. Describe the consequences of being disabled and the effects a disability has on a family and on a business.
  5. Identify ways to plan ahead and invest in a business.
  6. Recognize the limitations of Social Security Disability Insurance.
  7. Identify the value of disability income insurance to the family of those insured.
  8. Identify insurance that is critical to surviving a crisis, including: health, life, disability, and business insurance.

  10. Identify procedures and personnel for a temporary replacement during a crisis.
